In this stately Crocus Hill home, we doubled the size of the kitchen (often the weak link in older houses) and added a mudroom. Our goal was to impart the new kitchen with the same character as the existing interior spaces. Thus, the natural wood and period detailing take center stage. Inside and out, we emulated the existing architectural details for a seamless continuum between the new and old.
