Minnehaha Woods Remodel
In a neighborhood dominated by tear-downs, this family was committed to improving their existing home rather than filling a dumpster and starting anew. Our client sagely remarked that the interior spaces “outperformed their façade.” We were hired to remedy the situation and to add several new spaces to fit their living style. We expanded vertically yet modestly, with a master bedroom suite and storage in a house sorely lacking. We added a sun room just off the kitchen (with an attendant terrace) and finished the basement with a playroom for the three children. Creating the playroom necessitated excavating down fourteen inches for needed ceiling height. Lastly, we remodeled an area by the kitchen to become a designated homework area.
