Prairie School Restoration
We were tasked with completely restoring this historically significant structure. The residence was once a piece of Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1913 Little House estate in Deephaven. It was then transformed into a permanent dwelling by Wright’s former chief draftsman, John Howe, in 1980.
Our client wanted to freshen every surface and upgrade all systems inside and out, while meticulously maintaining the home's historic character. We worked with Ruth Johnson Interiors to make everything “just so," even recreating Wright replica furniture that had disappeared with former owners. Extensive landscape work re-established the home's sense of repose on the land.
